Nasarawa United will be difficult to beat, but we are prepared - Ogunbote

Gbenga Ogunbote, head coach of Shooting Stars, acknowledged the quality of their next opponent, Nasarawa United, but insisted his team has what it takes to defeat the Solid Miners.

The Oluyole Warriors will look to build on their recent success when they face Nasarawa United in a matchday 16 clash at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.

The hosts have gone three games without a win in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The Lafia club are fighting hard to escape relegation.

Ogunbote admitted he is expecting a tough game but is confident his side will come out victorious.

“Our game against Nasarawa United will be very tough no doubt,” he said

“They are desperate for a victory to move out from their current position on the log which we understand.

“However, I believe my players have the mental capacity to fight the battle as we are in a very confident mood to achieve good result.”

Shooting Stars are unbeaten in their five NPFL games.
