President Muhammadu Buhari joined in the celebrations on Friday as Osun State Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke celebrated his 63rd birthday on May 13, 2023.
Buhari urged Adeleke, whose victory was recently confirmed by the Supreme Court, to prioritise the interests of the state and the welfare of the people and to seek God's guidance in carrying out his mandate.

He affirms that the Senator, who represented Osun-West in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, solidified his base and gradually built a formidable network of friends and political allies that have helped his many victories, including leading one of the 36 states in the country.
The President believes that Adeleke’s easygoing outlook on life has become an asset, with a huge following that cuts across all ages.
This was disclosed in a statement by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
The President prayed that the Almighty God would grant Adeleke the strength, wisdom and courage to serve his people and the nation.
