Biafra: The UN, EU, and others have remained silent on Kanu's continued detention, according to IPOB.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, has declared that the illegal detention of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is no longer acceptable.

This comes as IPOB bemoaned the United Nations, UN, European Union, EU, African Union, AU, and ECOWAS's silence on Kanu's continued detention.

According to IPOB, the international community has remained silent while Kanu deteriorates in solitary confinement.

A statement by Powerful reads partly: “We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (lPOB) ably led by our indefatigable liberator Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU express our displeasure on the silence of United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), African Union (AU) and ECOWAS as Nigeria grossly disobeys Local and International laws regarding the unconditional release of our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU.

“We are saddened as the International Community watches in silence as the health of leader deteriorates in solitary confinement dungeon of the Nigeria government where he has been held illegally and unlawfully against all UN and Nigeria Court Orders for almost 2 years.

“The world should also know that Justice Haruna Tsammani, who corruptly granted an order asking the Government not to obey the court of Appeal Judgment to release him in the guise of a stay of execution which is unknown to our judicial system is the same person chairing the panel of Presidential election petition tribunal in Nigeria, how sure he will justice in Nigeria.”
