EPL: Mikel Arteta joins Arsenal ahead of the final games.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has added a new player ahead of the club's final two games of the season.

In the form of a chocolate Labrador, the Spaniard expanded his backroom team.

According to The New York Times, Arteta brought in the dog to help his players relax.

Arsenal's Premier League title hopes have taken a significant hit following their 3-0 home defeat to Brighton last weekend, which has left them four points adrift of Manchester City despite having played one more game.

The Gunners cannot be said to have done badly this season as it has been a massively encouraging season for the north Londoners.

The newspaper reports that Arteta has felt the need to enhance the mood at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground by recruiting a chocolate Labrador.

The dog spends most days at the training ground and has a primary carer who looks after her while she gets on well with London Colney’s resident cat, Bob.

Arteta has also named the Canine ‘Win’.

The Gunners have only managed to win twice in their last seven games as their title tilt collapsed.
