EPL: Pochettino instructs Todd Boehly to sign World Cup winner for £80 million.

Former PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino has already informed Chelsea, led by Todd Boehly, about the signings that must be made ahead of next season.

According to Fichajes, Pochettino, who is on the verge of becoming Chelsea's next permanent manager at the end of the season, wants Chelsea to add a creative central midfielder to his ranks and has asked Boehly to beat Liverpool to the signing of Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

Allister, who joined Brighton in 2019, was a member of Argentina's 2022 FIFA World Cup squad last year in Qatar.

He played in six consecutive games for Argentina during the tournament after being left out of their opening 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia.

His performances for his country’s national team have led to much speculation about his future at Brighton and where he will end up, with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal all reportedly interested in a possible deal for him.

Allister’s current contract with Brighton will expire in 2025.
