Allister, who joined Brighton in 2019, was a member of Argentina's 2022 FIFA World Cup squad last year in Qatar.

He played in six consecutive games for Argentina during the tournament after being left out of their opening 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia.
His performances for his country’s national team have led to much speculation about his future at Brighton and where he will end up, with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal all reportedly interested in a possible deal for him.
Allister’s current contract with Brighton will expire in 2025.
