EPL: Pochettino wants to build his team around four Chelsea players.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed the four players he wants to build his team around.

Pochettino has identified Reece James, Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, and Levi Colwill as players to build his squad around next season, according to the Evening Standard.

Pochettino will be introduced as the new manager of Chelsea shortly.

The Argentine will take over for caretaker manager Frank Lampard at the end of the season.

His arrival at Stamford Bridge could result in a change of fortunes for some of Chelsea’s homegrown talent, including Mount, Gallagher, and Colwill.

Chelsea have spent around £600 million on more than 15 new signings over the last two transfer windows.

This prompted Chelsea’s hierarchy to offload some of their homegrown players to balance the books ahead of the new season.

Pochettino, however, wants to change that and give some of the players a chance to prove their worth in the team.
