EPL: Thierry Henry advises Balogun to leave Arsenal after switching allegiance to the United States.

Thierry Henry, an Arsenal legend, has told young striker Folarin Balogun to leave the club.

He made the statement after the player announced that he has changed his international allegiance from England to the United States of America.

Henry stated that Balogun requires consistent playing time, which Arsenal will not provide.

The former France international said the 21-year-old should find a team where he is going to play regularly next season, rather than return to Arsenal where he is not guaranteed game time.

Balogun spent last season on loan from Arsenal at Reims where he has scored 20 goals so far in all competitions.

Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are ahead of him in the pecking order at Arsenal, while Mikel Arteta’s side are linked with other forwards.

“I don’t know if he’s going to play for Arsenal,” Henry said on CNS Sports.

“He’s been great in the league. Now he’s going to have to find a team where he’s going to play next year, that’s very important.”
