In Kaduna, gunmen kill nine people and injure many more.

Unknown gunmen killed nine farmers at Unguwan Danko, near Dogon Dawa village in Kaduna State's Birnin Gwari area.

ChinyKo learned that the farmers were killed while working on their farms on Saturday afternoon.

According to a source, the gunmen fled to an unknown location with three other farmers.

Yahaya Musa, member-elect, Kakangi State Constituency, also confirmed the incident, explaining that all those killed were farmers, while those that sustained gunshot injuries during the attack were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to him, “Yes it was confirmed to me on Sunday that nine farmers were killed by bandits at Unguwar Danko near Dogon Dawa village on Saturday afternoon and others sustained gunshot injuries.”

He explained that some of the villagers sustained injuries when they confronted the bandits.

DSP Mohammed Jalige, the state police command’s Public Relations Officer, promised to get back with details of the incident, while the state government has not reacted to the attack.
