The Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, was sworn in earlier at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Kuto, Abeokuta.

ChinyKo reports that the swearing-in ceremony coincides with Gov Abiodun’s 63rd birthday.
Abiodun, the Iperu-born businessman, defeated Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with over 13,000 votes to emerge the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Ogun.
Adebutu has since dragged Abiodun and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the election tribunal, challenging the outcome of the election.
