Justify the trust placed in you, the Yobe Assembly tells the Auditor General and two other appointees.

The Yobe State House of Assembly has confirmed Mai Aliyu Umar Gulani's appointment as substantive state Auditor General for the first four-year term.

The House confirmed the nominee's appointment after receiving the report of its standing committee on public service and government house on the nominee's curriculum vitae.

Presenting the report, the Chairman House committee on public service and government house, Hon. Mohammed Hassan said the committee after critical study of the curriculum vitae of the nominee was satisfied based on his good performance and working experience.

Hassan described the nominee as a man of integrity who held different positions in the public service and met the requirement of the law for the appointment as state Auditor General.

Meanwhile, the House has also confirmed the appointment of Ballama Abdullahi Budu as permanent member, Yobe State Teaching Service Board, (TSB) and Aisha Haruna Godowoli as permanent member, Local government Service Commission, respectively.

The two nominees who served in different capacities in the public service and retired as permanent secretaries were confirmed based on their track records of performance.

Presiding over the sitting on Tuesday, the Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Mohammed Isa Bello called on the confirmed appointees to work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them by the state government.
