Nigeria and England compete for Crystal Palace's Ebere Eze.

According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze is back on Gareth Southgate's radar.

However, England's national team manager will face competition from Nigeria for the player.

Eze has been instrumental in Palace's resurgence under Roy Hodgson.

The 24-year-old has six goals in seven games as the South London club fights to avoid relegation.

His performances have not gone unnoticed by Southgate, who believes Eze has the makings of a full England international.

It remains to be seen whether Eze could be called up for next month’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia.

England’s interest in Eze, however, is complicated by Nigeria, who also have designs on securing his future.

The Super Eagles have tried several times in the past to convince Eze to play for them. But the player is still to make a final decision.

Eze is eligible for Nigeria through his parents. Nigeria’s interest in Eze is ongoing, a prospect England staff are aware of.
