Rangers manager confirms that Maikaba is still under contract with the club.

Rangers have denied reports that head coach Abdulahi Maikaba will leave at the end of the season.

Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, the Flying Antelopes' secretary, revealed that the club still has a contract with the manager.

Ugwuarua, on the other hand, stressed that the speculation is intended to derail the team from meeting its goals.

“How can anyone be talking of coaches’ contracts at this stage when we are focused on ending the season on a high and continuing our fine run in the Federation Cup 2023?

“We can’t be distracted as I believe that is what the flyer of that material wants to achieve,” he said.

Rangers will, this weekend, trade tackles with defending NPFL champions, Rivers United, at the Awka City Stadium.
