The naira gains ground against the dollar as Tinubu takes office.

On Tuesday, a few hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu took office, the Naira strengthened against the dollar, exchanging for N464.50 at the Investors' and Exporters' window, compared to N464.51 at the close of business on May 26.

On Tuesday, the open indicative rate was N464.10 to the dollar.

The highest rate recorded during Tuesday's trading was N467 to the dollar, before it settled at N464.50.

The Naira sold for as low as 460 to the dollar within the days of trading.

A total of 120.36 million dollars was traded at the official Investors and Exporters window on Tuesday.
