Transfer: Declan Rice is open to joining a new club after speaking with the manager on the phone.

Declan Rice, captain of West Ham United, has expressed interest in joining Bayern Munich following a phone call with manager Thomas Tuchel.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern Munich is stepping up their charm offensive for Rice, with Tuchel reaching out to the player.

Rice is expected to leave West Ham this summer, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City all interested in signing him.

But Bayern Munich are preparing to make a rival play as Tuchel has personally spoken to the England World Cup star in an effort to convince him to move to the Bundesliga.

The report added that while Rice’s preference is to remain in the Premier League, the 24-year-old is said to be ‘open’ to a move to Bayern and has welcomed the interest from the Bundesliga champions.
