Transfer: Onana's agent reveals the player's decision to join Chelsea.

Andre Onana's agent, Albert Botines, has responded to rumours linking the Cameroon international goalkeeper to Chelsea.

Botines stated that the 27-year-old is'very happy' at Inter Milan, where he joined on a free transfer from Ajax last summer.

The Cameronian has made an immediate impact in his first season in Serie A, emerging as one of Europe's best goalkeepers.

Reports in London said Chelsea’s incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino has identified Onana as his choice of goalkeeper to replace Edouard Mendy and Kepa and the Blues are said to have already made an approach for Onana ahead of the summer window.

But Botines has made it clear that the Cameroon international is not pushing for a move away from Inter.

“Transfer market rumours are normal at this stage but I prefer not to talk about it because it’s very early and now the boy is focused only on the pitch,” Botines told TVPLAY_CMIT.

“We have a five-year contract with Inter. He has another four years on his contract and now he is focused only on the Serie A final and the Champions League final.

“He still has a long contract, don’t worry. He’s very happy, he’s playing for the strongest team in Italy.”
