U-20 World Cup: The Flying Eagles are ready for any opponent - Bosso

With the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup just around the corner, Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso says his team is prepared for any opponent.

On Tuesday night, the two-time finalists were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by Colombia in their final warm-up game.

The Flying Eagles will enter the competition in good spirits, having won and drawn their two friendlies since arriving in Argentina for a 10-day camping programme.

“We are focused on the big challenge ahead, which is to put up a creditable performance that will match the pedigree of our country at this championship,” Bosso told thenff.com.

“Our ultimate target is to have a good campaign and with this result, we will be very ready for our first match against the Dominican Republic on Sunday,” he said.

The West Africans will face five-time winners Brazil, Italy and debutants Dominican Republic in Group D at the World Cup.

They will kick-start their campaign against Dominican Republic in Mendoza.
