2023 AFCON Qualifier: Sierra Leone's coach has unveiled his squad for the Super Eagles clash.

Sierra Leone head coach John Keister has named a 38-man provisional squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria's Super Eagles.

The match is scheduled for June 18 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia, neighbouring Liberia.

The Confederation of African Football rejected Sierra Leone's facility in Bo City because it was inadequate.

Some of the players named in the squad by Keister include England-born former Premier League star and current Wigan defender Steven Caulker, Kamil Conteh, Alhaji Kamara, Idris Kanu, Lamin Conteh, Mohamed Kamara and Daniel Karim.

The gaffer is expected to cut down the list before the game.

The Leone Stars are currently third on the Group A table with five points from four games.

Keister’s charges are points four behind leaders Nigeria and two adrift of second-placed Guinea-Bissau.

Sierra Leone need to win the game to keep their dreams of making it to Cote d’Ivoire 2023 alive.

Nigeria won the reverse fixture 2-1 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
