Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, Governor of Kano State, has fired the 44 Centre officers in charge of coordinating the 2023 Hajj in their respective local government areas.
This was stated in a statement signed by Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, his Press Secretary.
According to the statement, the Governor replaced them with interim officers to coordinate the state's ongoing Hajj operations.

He, however, instructed the newly appointed officers to assume their responsibilities and report to the new Director-General of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board for further instructions at the Board’s Headquarters.
