Police in Lusaka are patrolling the streets to avert any possible illegal planned protests by some youths.

A check-in the Central Business District found a number of police officers keeping vigil.

Inspector-General of Police Kakoma Kanganja said patrols will continue and those who be found engaging in illegal protests will have themselves to blame, once caught.

Mr Kanganja said the Police will deal with any youth found protesting, accordingly.

And a check by ZNBC at parliament buildings, where the youths were reported to have planned to deliver their concerns on various issues relating to governance, social and economic welfare, found heavy police presence.

And Musician and Activist Fumba Chama popularly known as Pilato said the youths opted to stage their protest from Rurunsa District to evade the police dragnet.
