Fernando Santos, manager of Portugal, has praised Ghana’s Black Stars, calling them a “very well-organized team.”
Santos also commented on Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent departure from Manchester United, stating that the news will not disturb the Portugal team.
Remember, Ronaldo left Manchester United just days before Portugal’s World Cup opener against Ghana on Thursday evening.
“This [Ronaldo’s exit from Man United] is something that has not even been discussed,” Santos said at the pre-game press conference ahead of Portugal’s tie with Ghana.
“This conversation has not come up at any moment, not even from him.”
Santos added, “Ghana is a very well-organized team. Their game against Switzerland showed that. African teams have a lot of talent and unpredictability and are always improving tactically. Today they are much more complete teams.”
